Evolved Vol 3

Sequential Prophet 6

I didn't plan on doing another Bank for the Sequential Prophet 6, however when they announced they were adding the "Vintage Knob" feature from the Prophet 5/10 (Rev 4) it was time to get the Prophet 6 out and updated!

This time round, we're digging deeper, to make new Sounds and while there might be the odd "Vintage" Patch, in the main it's all about new textures and tones.

It's full of Pads, Motion sounds, String Synths, huge Bass and cutting Leads.  Many of the Sounds utilize Oscillator 2 as a Mod Source leaving only 1 oscillator, however the subtle and not so subtle movement this can create is astounding.

All 100 Patches are demonstrated on Video, so you can hear them before you Buy.  I have duplicated the Bank for each Bank Location (User 0 to 4) for easier installation and supports the Sound Tower Editor

You will need to install at least Firmware (V1.6.7) from Sequential and then enable the "Vintage Knob" Function in the Global settings.

All Banks are Duplicated, so you can place them in any User Slot.  Support for the Sound Tower Editor is provided and each Program is available on it's own.

Evolved Vol 2

Sequential Prophet 6

The Prophet 6 is my favorite Synth that I've owned, I just love the textures it can make, so this time with the Prophet 6, I thought I'd see what I could do with it, by really digging into the Sound.

I think many of us think of it as a Synth which is for making Classic Synth Sounds, which of course it can do easily, however there is so much more character there...I wanted to explore it.

The first part of the Bank has lots of Patches with movement, utilising Oscillator 2 as a Mod Source, Filter Envelope being applied in the Poly Mod and of course, utilising both Filters.

I have made lots of Pads, Motion Sounds, Textured Sweeps, StringPads, many of which have this character that I speak of.

There are lots of Classic Sounds as well, with cool House Bass and Funky Leads. Poly Synths are covered very well, as are Electric Piano's...There's even a Flute!

All Banks are Duplicated, so you can place them in any User Slot.  Support for the Sound Tower Editor is provided and each Program is available on it's own.

Evolved Vol 1

Sequential Prophet 6

I originally made 2 Banks of Patches for the DSI OB6 and wondered what they would sound like if I could translate them to the Prophet 6....I mean, it’s just the Filter isn’t it? Wrong!

The P6 is quite different from the OB6, the envelopes are different as well, so it wasn’t straight forward.

Some patches sound quite similar, some sound better on the P6 and others I wasn’t able to do, so some new Patches were created. Of course, this was an experiment, but glad I did it and hope you enjoy them...especially that Bladerunner Patch...Yum Yum!

At first glance, the Prophet 6 (and OB6) can be seen as quite a simple Synth, restricted with regards to functionality of say, Software Synths...But who want’s to play and make sounds on a Computer using a Mouse?

The beauty of the Prophet 6 and its strength IS the simplicity of dedicated controls, allowing you to sculpt a sound very easily.
